7 Proven Strategies to Boost Traffic to Your Real Estate Website

As a realtor, you understand that having a strong online presence is crucial to attracting potential clients and growing your business. But how do you get more people to visit your real estate website? Here are seven proven and tested ways to boost website traffic if you’re a real estate broker or agent:

7. Participate in forums and online communities.

Participating in forums and online communities is a great way to establish yourself as an expert in your industry and build relationships with potential clients. When you join these communities, look for discussions and questions related to your area of expertise and provide valuable and informative answers. This will help you establish trust and credibility with potential clients.

A few things to remember: 1) Make sure to avoid too aggressively promoting your business, as this may turn people off; 2) Make sure to share links to your website only when it’s allowed and when it’s relevant to the discussion or question being asked; and lastly, 3) focus on providing value and building relationships.

6. Find other people to exchange links with.

Backlinks from other high-quality websites can improve your website’s visibility and search engine rankings. Reach out to other websites and offer to exchange links, but make sure the websites are relevant to your industry and provide value to your readers.

Google Search Console helps with backlinks by providing website owners with information about the links that point to their website from other sites. This information includes the number of backlinks, the websites that link to your site, and the pages on your site that are being linked to.

By analyzing this data, website owners can determine which websites are linking to their site, and identify opportunities to get more backlinks from high-quality sites. They can also monitor the performance of their backlinks over time, and identify any issues that may be affecting their search engine ranking.

5. Write and publish useful blogs on a regular basis, making use of relevant keywords.

Creating relevant and informative blog posts is a great way to boost website traffic. Use keywords that potential clients are searching for and ALWAYS include a clear call-to-action (CTA) at the end of each post, inviting readers to take the next step.

4. Promote your content on social media.

Choose the social media platforms that your target audience and clients are most likely to use and promote your blog posts, listings, and other content regularly. As always, don’t be too promotional and focus on providing value and building relationships with your followers.

3. Encourage others to promote your content on social media

Make it easy for others to share your content by adding social share buttons to your website and including a call-to-action (CTA) asking readers to share your posts with their friends and followers.

2. One more thing about those blogs: focus on evergreen topics and utilize the power of Pinterest.

Evergreen content is content that stays relevant and useful for a long time. It’s the kind of content that provides valuable information or solves a particular problem that people are always searching for. If you need ideas, this article has great tips on how to create evergreen content.

Search engines love evergreen content because it stays relevant for a long time, making it more likely to be linked to and shared by other websites. Pinterest is perfect for promoting evergreen content because it can be re-pinned and shared many times. By creating visually appealing pins that link back to your blog posts, you can tap into Pinterest’s vast audience and drive more traffic to your website.

1. Create lead magnets

Lead magnets are free resources that offer value to potential clients and encourage them to provide their contact information. But what is actually a good LEAD MAGNET and what makes it actually ‘magnet’ people? In case you need to make one for your website too, here’s what’s on my list:

  1. It must solve at least one real problem.
  2. It promises one quick win.
  3. It should be about something really specific.
  4. It should be instantly accessible—avoid too many sign-up steps too.
  5. It should demonstrate your expertise and why people would want to work with you.

Based on my own experience, a lead magnet should also ideally be something that your potential clients would need to look at more than once, like a guide or tutorial, a worksheet or a spreadsheet (my personal favorite), a resource list, a template, a cheat sheet, or a checklist. This way, you can build a list of leads that you can nurture and convert into clients over time.

And there you have it, 7 proven strategies to boost traffic to your real estate website! From engaging with online communities to creating lead magnets, there are plenty of ways to attract potential clients and grow your business. Just remember, don’t be too self-promotional and always focus on providing value to your audience. Now go out there and start implementing these tips to boost your website traffic!
